In December 2007, the Translational Research Laboratory moved into new facilities at Princess Margaret Hospital. The new laboratory comprises several functional areas, including cell culture, flow cytometry and molecular biology. We also have access to world-class facilities at Princess Margaret Hospital/Ontario Cancer Institute, including imaging, microarray, flow cytometry and sorting, and animal facilities.

With many needs and limited space, the design and renovation of the lab were challenging task. Over the course of 2007, the Cell Therapy Program worked with the hospital planners, architects and contractors to plan and build a lab that would be able to support the wide range of research projects undertaken by our basic and translational research group.
